Expressions Weddings is a wedding photography and videography team based in Southern California, and we travel with our couples for destination weddings anywhere in the US or abroad. Our lead photographer, Ray Qadri, has more than 25 years of fine art wedding photography experience, including large multi-day South Asian celebrations.

A Destination Wedding Photographer Who Plans Ahead
At a destination wedding there is no second chance and often no time to learn the venue on the day. That is why most of our work happens before we travel. We go through your schedule event by event, talk to your planner and venue coordinator, and build a shot list that includes your family traditions and the people who matter most.
We study the venue in advance, using floor plans, photos and the coordinator's notes, then plan for the light at each location and time of day. When we arrive, we walk the venue, confirm timings with your planner and are ready before the first event begins.

Our Approach to Destination Wedding Photography
One team, start to finish
The photographers and videographers who plan your wedding with you are the people who travel to it. Nothing is handed over to strangers at the last minute.
Prepared for any light and weather
Outdoor ceremonies, beaches and gardens can change quickly. We bring lighting for evening events and plan backup portrait locations with your coordinator in case of wind, heat or rain.
Family photos done quickly
Family who have flown in from different countries may only be together once. We prepare your group list in advance, and a team member gathers each group so formals take minutes, not hours.
Respectful of every tradition
We photograph Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and multicultural weddings, and we follow the guidance of your officiant, imam, priest or granthi during the ceremony.
Destination Wedding Videographer
A destination wedding film should show the place as well as the people: the arrival, the setting and the energy of each event. Our videographers film with multiple cameras and edit with music and pacing that suit each part of your celebration.
Depending on your package, you receive a cinematic trailer to share with family who could not travel, a highlight film, and a full-length or custom-length film covering every event. Drone coverage, where local rules and the venue allow it, adds sweeping shots of the location.
Our wedding script writer and choreographer, Dr. Aniqa Jahan, can help plan entrances, couple dances and performances so they look as good on film as they feel on the night.

How are travel costs handled?
Destination weddings are quoted as custom packages. We include the team's travel in your quote, so you see the full cost before you book.
How far in advance should we book a destination wedding photographer?
Most couples book 9 to 18 months ahead, especially for peak season or multi-day weddings. Contact us with your dates and we will confirm availability within 24 hours.
Do you cover multi-day South Asian destination weddings?
Yes. Multi-day Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi weddings are a specialty. Our Destination package covers several days with a team of up to six, so parallel events and both families are covered.
Should we hire a local photographer at the destination instead?
A local photographer knows the venue, but a team you choose and meet in advance knows you, your family and your traditions. We plan the venue with your coordinator ahead of time, so you get both.
