Every ritual, every color and every family moment, from haldi to vidaai.
An Indian wedding is not one day. It is a story told over several events, and you need an Indian wedding photographer who knows every chapter.
Expressions Weddings photographs and films Indian weddings across Southern California, including Los Angeles, Irvine, Riverside and Orange County. Our lead photographer, Ray Qadri, has more than 25 years of experience and is known for his work with multicultural families.
We cover North Indian, Punjabi, Gujarati, South Indian and fusion weddings, at temples, gurdwaras, hotels, banquet halls and family homes. Our photographers and videographers work as one team, so your gallery and film capture the full emotion and color of every event.

Couples often tell us their biggest worry is that a photographer will miss something important, such as the moment the varmala is exchanged, a grandmother's blessing or the sindoor. We prevent that with preparation. Before your wedding, we go through each event with you, note the rituals your family follows and build a shot list together.
On the day, that preparation lets us anticipate rather than react. We know when the baraat will reach the venue entrance, when to be in position for the jaimala and when to step back during the pheras so your pandit and family can focus.
One of our couples, Pushpa, put it best in her WeddingWire review: "From the vibrant Mehndi ceremony to the heartfelt vows at the Mandap, and the lively Sangeet night filled with music and dance, they captured every moment with impeccable artistry and attention to detail."
Every family celebrates differently. These are the events we cover most often, and we adapt to your traditions.
Formal family introductions, ring exchange and the first official portraits of the couple together.
Turmeric paste, laughter and plenty of mess. We use fast shutter speeds and close angles to capture the joy and the color.
Intricate henna details, the bride with her closest friends and family, and the music and dancing that follow.
Choreographed performances, family dances and toasts. We light the stage and dance floor so nothing is lost in the dark.
The groom's arrival with dhol, dancing and family, followed by the milni greeting between families.
The garland exchange, kanyadaan, the seven pheras around the sacred fire, sindoor and mangalsutra.
One of the most emotional moments of the day, captured with sensitivity and respect.
Grand entrances, first dances, speeches and the dance floor, with portraits of the couple in their reception outfits.
Indian weddings are full of saturated reds, golds, pinks and greens. We edit carefully so skin tones stay natural and the colors of your lehenga, sherwani and décor look true to life, not orange or washed out.
We capture natural, candid moments throughout each event, then guide you through relaxed couple portraits and efficient family groups. Your family photo list is prepared in advance, and a team member helps gather each group.
We work quietly and respectfully around the mandap and in temples and gurdwaras, follow the guidance of your priest or granthi, and never block the view of your guests.
Indian weddings often have parallel moments, such as the bride getting ready while the baraat gathers outside. Our larger packages bring three to six team members so both sides of the family are covered.
Your wedding film should feel like your celebration: energetic during the baraat and sangeet, quiet and emotional during the pheras and vidaai. Our videographers film with multiple cameras and edit with music and pacing that matches each moment.
Depending on your package, you receive a cinematic trailer to share with family abroad, a highlight film and a full-length film of 30 to 60 minutes, or a custom length for multi-day weddings. Drone coverage, where permitted, adds sweeping shots of the baraat procession and your venue.
Our wedding script writer and choreographer, Dr. Aniqa Jahan, can also help plan sangeet performances, entrances and couple dances so they look as good on camera as they feel on the night.
We photograph Indian weddings throughout the region and travel for destination weddings.
Hotel ballrooms, temples and estates across LA County, from Artesia to Beverly Hills and Malibu.
Los Angeles wedding photographerLarge multi-day celebrations at Irvine hotels and golf clubs, plus home mehndi and haldi events.

★★★★★“Their communication style was excellent - they were never intrusive and were incredibly thoughtful about how we wanted to interact with our vendors... They showed up ahead of time, prepped everything, and even assigned an assistant to help guide our guests for pictures with us.”
